BIGGER CHAIN LINK
Bigger Steel Limited chain link is manufactured from hot dipped galvanized wire of 14 gauge (2mm). Our chain link wire runs vertically and bends into a zigzag patterned wire and immediately run on the other to form the characteristic diamond pattern.
Width of chain link: The standard sizes are between 4 feet to 8 feet in width, but the other sizes can be made as per the customer’s requirement.
Mesh size: The diamond size of a chain wire mesh matters because it indicates how much security it offers; the smaller the size, the stronger the chain link. Available sizes are 85×85mm, 75×75mm, 65×65mm, 60×60mm and 50×50mm.
Length of roll: Bigger Steel Limited chain link standard size is 18 meters.
Type of Edges: Our chain link wire edge is twisted end which provides better security as it is not easy to open a link and gain access.
Zinc coating: The amount of zinc coating on the wire determines the lifespan of the chain link; commercial coating will have a lifespan of 5 to 10 years depending on the environment, while heavy coated wire will serve up to 30 years. It is generally recommended that coastal areas fencing materials should be heavily coated due to high humidity and salt sprays.

Barbed wire, also known as barb wire is a type of steel fencing wire made with a sharp edge or points arranged at intervals along the strands. Its primary use is, fencing and is an effective barrier for controlling and protecting against animals and human attack, protection of land and it’s also a good material for border determination of lands.

BIGGER WELDED MESH
Welded wire mesh or wire mesh is an electric fusion welded prefabricated joined grid consisting of parallel longitudinal wires with accurate spacing welded to cross wires at the required spacing. We make weld mesh sheets of various sizes, depending on customers’ requirement; the following are some of the critical parameters one needs to know before buying the required weld mesh sheets.
Overall dimensions: The common size is 8ft by 4ft but can be customized according to customers’ specifications.
Wire diameter: This refers to the thickness of the wire, and ranges from 2mm to 4mm
Mesh size: This refers to the hole size of the mesh. The common size is 75mm×75mm.

The above varieties are made of high-grade pre-painted metal coated steel coils. A stylish and attractive design product tested and approved by KEBS, produced by a roll forming machine. They have a high heat resistance, and a long life span due to their perfectly coated high grade aluminum, zinc and steel. Available gauges are 28 , 30 and 32 gauge Normal Corrugated sheet.
RECTANGULAR HOLLOW SECTIONS
Rectangular hollow sections (RHS) made to the East African Standard are manufactured on the tube mills using a high frequency induction welding technique. The strip is continuously seam-welded while in round shape and then gradually brought to the desired section in the sizing mill. The welded seam’s strength is maximized by the cooling of each length of hollow section.

Square hollow sections (SHS) are made to East African Standard and are used for structural purposes in the furniture industry, fabrication, the component industry, etc. The manufacturing process is similar to that of Rectangular Hollow Section where they pass through sizing rolls and their profiles are converted to Square Hollow Sections.

BLACK ROUND PIPES
Black pipe is made to East African Standard specifications. They can be plain or bevel ended depending on the application. These pipes are meant for the conveyance of water, compressed air and fluids. They restrict the collapse of overburden soil. Slots are cut on the pipes for screening purposes depending on the application.
Bigger Steel Limited uses the highest quality of hot rolled coils (HRC) for this purpose. The HRC is slit suitably and fed into the most modern pipe rolling mills, gradually the mill shapes them from flat strips to the required circular pipe profile while the edges are prepared for high frequency welding. The bead is then cleaned for residual bead height with a carbide scraping tool online, a flying shear then cuts the pipe to the exact length required. The pipes are finally end-faced and hydro-tested on a special machine at a certain pressure before being dispatched.
