From our plant
How it is made
Wire rod arrives at the plant and leaves as finished product. Because every stage happens here, we can hold a specification rather than pass on whatever a supplier sent.

Wire rod intake
Rod is checked on arrival for grade and diameter. Material that does not meet the grade we ordered does not go on the line.

Drawing to gauge
Rod is drawn down through dies to the gauge the order calls for. This is where consistency is won or lost – gauge that drifts shows up later as wire that snaps.

Galvanising
Zinc coating for anything going outdoors. Coating weight is what decides whether a fence lasts two seasons or twenty, so we specify it rather than leave it to chance.

Forming and dispatch
Cut and headed into nails, woven into chain link, twisted into barbed wire or welded into mesh. Checked, bundled and loaded.
